A LavishGUI 2 map element is a specialized Item List element, which arranges mapitemviews according to a virtual coordinate space.

Defining a map element

A map element is an Item List, with properties for specifying the map view area in virtual coordinates.

Map element properties
virtualAlignment A string specifying either "corner" or "center", indicating whether virtualLocation is to be the center, or top-left corner of the map view area; the default is center if not specified
virtualLocation A Point definition (may be given as an array with 2 values or an object with "x" and "y") specifying either the virtual center coordinate or top-left corner.
virtualSize A Size definition (may be given as an array with 2 values or an object with "width" and "height") specifying a fixed virtual size for the map view area.
virtualScale A Size definition (may be given as an array with 2 values or an object with "width" and "height") specifying a virtual scale for the map view area, as opposed to a fixed virtual size.
