daoc help for DR client

I having trouble on daoc. I've seen posts about the client not starting up once you hit play after the server select screen. I am having this problem most of the time. However, when i do manage to get into the game my keyboard does not work. I can click everything with the mouse but when i try to move/type nothing happens.

Odd. Make sure DAOC itself is in full screen mode, and also make sure that it's set to Catacombs in your WinEQ 2 profile.
