Tiling doesn't work

Post by bellpepper » Wed Oct 12, 2005 4:18 am

I just bought a subscription.. checked the auto-tiling option.. opened 2 EQs.. nothing happens. They are both staying in regular old windowed mode. All I need to do is check the auto-tiling option from the system tray menu, right?

Then I tried using the tiling hotkey. It put one EQ in the upper left corner. I used the hotkey on the other EQ.. it put that one in the upper left corner too. On top of the first one. Which kind of defeats the point of tiling them..

Am I doing something wrong? I am lost.. :(

Auto-tiling is apparently broken at the moment, but you CAN assign tiles individually per profile or per window. To set it per window, bring up the right click menu (right click on the titlebar with the mouse released, or shift+right click in the game) and select the tile position under the tiling submenu. This will be fixed very soon; sorry for the confusion in the meantime

Wow! Quick response. :) The shift+right click thing worked great, thanks.

One other thing is that the mouse is not releasing. I am using alt + shift + r as I usually do, and the mouse stays captured in the window, but the window moves up a little on the screen.

WinEQ adds its own mouse release, which is set to Scroll Lock by default. You can configure it to use whatever key combination you'd like, in the WinEQ 2 preferences window (under EverQuest, Hotkeys)
