Questions about picture-in-picture

Post by Krizzik » Fri Oct 07, 2005 8:35 am

A few questions .....

Is this function supposed to allow me to run a second session, as a smaller picture within my first so that I can click on that picture inside my first session without having to hit the cntrl alt # key to do things in the second session?

If that is correct, I must be a total tard, because for the life of me I cannot get the functionality to work that way ..... I've read the small blurb you get the link to about it, but I must be out to lunch because the best I can do is to grab the corner of my second session window and drag to resize it and move it to a corner of my first session, lock it to always stay on top and use the cntrl alt # sequence to access it to do whatever on that session.

So, for my lost brain, can someone explain exactly what functionality this picture-in-picture is supposed to give me and how to obtain it? Too much Nyquil makes me a sad fellow =(

No, but wouldnt that be cool. :)

It's strictly for visibility at this point. However, what you're talking about WILL be possible in EQ when they make a change that was recently announced. Theyre swearing off using DirectInput for the mouse, and going with the Windows cursor. This means no more mouse "release", and ultimately means a lot less headaches for us as developers and you as users

Is there a key combination that could toggle the pip window to the main window back and forth like on a television?
Will just CRTL-ALT-num bounce them back and forth?

Yes

The next/previous session hotkeys work for this
