Hotkey Setup for Three Toons
In Everquest, I defined the Next Session and Previous Session hotkeys to be the same hotkey (I use the single quote key "`"). Thus repeatedly pressing this single hotkey on my keyboard switches between two sessions 1-2-1-2-1-2..... but when I try this with 3 sessions the program doesn't switch sequentially, it gives me something like 1-2-3-1-2-1-2-3-2....when I want 1-2-3-1-2-3-1-2-3. I am not a good typist so I want to press a single key to switch between three active sessions on one computer. I've not been able to get the Global Activation hotkeys to do this. Suggestions on setup please.
Well, if you set two WinEQ 2 hotkeys to the same key, you're going to get undefined behavior. Pressing the Next Session or Previous Session keys will go 1-2-3-1-2-3-1-2-3, or 3-2-1-3-2-1-3-2-1 so you should just ONE of them to the key you want to use. The other, you can disable by setting to NONE, or leaving it at the default and simply not using it.
Global activation keys can be used to quickly switch to a single session. The only thing limiting you with these is Windows, so you cant set multiple global activation keys to the same combination and you cant use F12 (Windows reserves it) or of course any combination that is already a registered windows hotkey. You can set one to Num 1, one to Num 2, one to Num 3 if you like, then use the keypad to switch between them.
I would probably just set one of the two Next/Previous keys to what you want to use (not both) and use that.

Thank YOu -- Works Great
Thank you Lax for explaining how to set up the hotkey properly. I made the change and it works perfectly. Just what I wanted and I appreciate your prompt response.
Just like Baldmeter, I also like to use the "`" key to cycle my eq windows. The problem I am experiencing is that if I hit the Windows Key + D to show the desktop, then Alt+Tab to one of the open WinEQ windows, then I hit "`", it goes to the next window but will not display it. It's still minimized. Now in EQW it would display it properly, but in WinEQ this is outright annoying.
Am I doing something wrong? Why when I switch to the next window does it not display?
Secondly and this is related to the above, let's say I'm playing 3 toons. How can I make it so that it just cycles between the first 2 toons and does not bring up the 3rd? The above problem I'm having could also be a plus. Maybe an option could be put it so that if a window is minimized and you cycle to the next window, it displays the next window that is not minimized. This would be an awesome feature and would take care of both my problems in one go.

Why must people always ask if theyre doing something wrong instead of reporting it as a bug; no you're doing nothing wrong. I'll fix the issue with the window staying minimized.
If you just want to switch between 2 characters, you should actually consider using global activation hotkeys, which bring up specific sessions. I'll see about making a way to skip certain windows though.
