16bit/32bit

Post by laen » Tue Aug 09, 2005 8:03 am

will i be able to use 32 bit with wineq 2 lite?
I recently had to go to 16 bit on eqwin to make it work with latest patches, and i don't really like it.

Yes. The bug that plagues EQWindows was fixed in WinEQ 2 within days. Generally, any well-described bug is fixed within days. We try not to let our users wait around too long -- we are a business :)

I have been reading your website a bit, let's see if i am on target...
I should download wineq2.0 and eqplaynice?
any order?
anything else?
also i like the the idea of having 2 instances above and below each other...is this only available in the sbuscription version?
i have 2 complete folders of everquest for eqwin, is this also the need for wineq?
thanks for the help, sorry for all the Q's...

No, EQPlayNice comes with WinEQ 2 and this is explained before you download WinEQ 2 :)

The other option is to change your game resolution to something where you can see both without WinEQ 2, but it wont be split screen

In both cases, you're better off with 1 folder. Full explanation here: http://www.lavishsoft.com/wineq2/faq.php#2.1

ok, downloaded and using...
is there a way to assign switching from one instance to another to just one key?
control-alt-z or x is a little clunky.

All hotkeys are customizable via the WinEQ 2 Preferences window. Open it up, select EverQuest, and under Hotkeys you will find all of the WinEQ 2 hotkeys. Change Next Session and Previous Session to the key combination of your choice. :)
