Changing Hotkeys?

when I got to options/preferences/everquest/hotkeys there is only a drop down menu for the first hotkey "name key list"....how do you change the rest?

By typing valid combinations of keys found in that list, and +

For example... CTRL+ALT+X
I cant exactly have a dropdown box that lists every possible combination :(
