Connection error since the patch

Post by tonytec » Thu Apr 28, 2005 7:10 pm

Ok, I keep getting a connection error since the patch yesterday. I blew it off as to maybe too much traffic to the site yestrerday due to the patch release, but I see folks seem to be getting in based on the posts I have seen in here today.

It is the pop up you get when immediately clicking on th WinEQ shortcut or any of the profiles. Thus I can not edited much because the interface is not accessable.

Full Error in a window titled : WinEQ 2.0

Connection to the Lavish Software licnese server failed. The server may be inaccessible to you at this time, or th eamount of network lag between you and the server is extraordinarily high.[/img]

Just a note

I did disable patching, I also did an uninstall and redownloaded the software and installed the new version again. Please advise.
Thanks

There's not much chance of it being inaccessible due to patches; we're nowhere near our bandwidth cap. That being said, I'm not sure why you'd get this error now and not before. The only thing I can think of is exactly what the message indicates. Can you try doing a traceroute to lavishsoft.com and see if there's routing issues? Does the web site seem slow for you?

Slap me

Post by tonytec » Thu Apr 28, 2005 8:05 pm

I deserve to be slapped!

I was poking around since I posted and found that some how my firewall started to block all traffic from the application. /bonk

It will re-ask each time an update comes out and one of the two we set allow none. /OMG hit me with the idiot stick!!!

Sorry to toss up a false alarm on something I should not only have caught, but not answered incorrectly in the first place.

Thanks,
Tony.... umm....errr.....tec?
