Are you sure you got all of the updated EQ files (patched with native EQ) before running WinEQ2?

WinEQ 2.0 should update itself if you're using the auto login to the Lavish site feature.

To run EQ and MQ2 without WinEQ 2.0, just do it. Load MQ2 first, then run everquest.exe from whatever folder it's residing in on your HD.

Same issue here. It was working last night, but didn't work this morning. Funny thing is that if I kill the window and try to restart right away, I get a message that I've already got a character logged in.

I just manually ran EQ to repatch it (see other thread that patcher isn't launching automatically) and did an advanced patch, didn't update anything.

Restarted WinEQ and watched it. Black screen the whole time but eventually the gamma changed for the monitor. I decided to see what would happen if I hit "enter" and it eventually started my default character.

Don't know if this helps but it seems like the problem is just when it's loading. I did see the splash screen for ~2 sec before teh character loaded in the world.

Same thing happens to me, it was working last night with multiple windows, and now it's just "Disconnected" screen. Tried repatching on EQ, and there was nothing.

The issue is that WinEQ 2.0 has not been able to run the EQ patcher since the february 15th EQ patch. http://www.lavishsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1506

Make sure all of your EQ folders are patched manually before running EQ through WinEQ 2. I just patched my only EQ folder, loaded WinEQ 2.0, and noticed absolutely nothing wrong all the way to inside the game.
