Please review the EQPlayNice products page to see which features have been moved to subscriber-only. The FPS meter is one of them. EQPlayNice functions exactly as it did from January to April this year. Check the FAQ/Policies link in the top menu
Have fun

Ok this is what I don't get frankly. The FPS meter is supposed to give us a visual representation that the FRAMERATE limiter is working on the Lite version of EQPN.
So why is it a subscriber only feature if it monitors a freebie feature?
Am I the only one confused by this?

The FPS meter was introduced at the same time as the Rendering Limiter. For the first 4 months of the year, EQPlayNice users gauged its usefulness by looking at the Windows task manager. This is what EQPlayNice Lite users are to do now once again. I think as free users, you should be happy that it functions exactly the same as it did then.

So we get the feature. But in order to tell if said feature is actually on (without the rigamarole of tabbing out and running task manager), we have to pay for it.
Gotcha.
Thanks for clearing that up.

No, you see if it is on the same way you did for the 4 months that the FPS indicator was not implemented in EQPlayNice
Have fun!

You may need to modify the configuration in EQPlayNice.ini. To verify that it is working, you can simply open up the windows task manager and check the CPU usage percentage with one EQ open. While that EQ is in the foreground, it should use 99% because the default is FPS limiting mode for the foreground. While it is in the background, it should use much less, depending on the configuration and your system. By default in EQPlayNice Lite, the background Max FPS is set to 20. You may find it beneficial to drop this to 15 or 10.
