Comp freeze on everquest with wineq2.0.
I am currently having a problem, in Everquest with wineq2.0. wheather it be running 1 instance of eq or 4 something seems to trigger a freeze on my computer, where it freezes my instance where it sits, and the entire computer quits responding. i'm unable to alt cnt del, or anything, i simply have to hit the reset button and try again.
Most of the time i've noticed this in potime when two boxing, but last night i was in kod taz, cycling artifacts for the icon of the alter, and froze 8 times straight with just one account up. as soon as i would move. it would just lock the whole pc down
This is my sysinfo.txt. if you need anything else please let me know. Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated.

The fans etc, are working correctly, the reason for the lack of windows updates was simply because i had this issue earlier, did a format and a fresh install on the machine. The only thing remotely different with it is a modified video cooler on the video card, Guess if nothing else, i can buy another video card. and see if that helps, but would be one of the last things i'd want to do actually being as spendy as they were, lol.
Definitely. I really cant imagine other reasons for a hard lockup other than hardware or driver issues though.
Some computer stores actually have a return policy that allows you to return an item within a few days for a full refund on regularly stocked items, regardless of whether it's faulty or not (I used to work at one as a technician). If you can find a store with such a return policy, it might be the best way to troubleshoot, and then you could purchase a replacement part online or whatever after returning the test part

OK, since i've changed video cards, i can happily say. there have been no more lockups. But. i've run across another issue. with the radeon 9600 i could run 5-6 windows at once. 6 was pushing it. Now that i've converted to the 6600 GTOC, i cant seem to run 2 instances, This is with latest forceware drivers (tried a few) .
Now, this is where it gets really wierd Running 1 instance of wineq2.0, and 1 instance of EQ Windows. The memory issue is much much less, and actually leaves me about 240-270 MB of texture memory, while when using 2 wineq, i slowly drop to 2 MB or so, and once i zone it discontinues an instance.
I cant personally think of anything to cause this. I've tried emailing tech support from BFG tech, but .. lol i think i just got the pattented change the drivers email~ back from them. which of course is no help. If you have any insight that would be great
