New to WinEQ... with some dumb questions...

Post by sibora » Thu Jan 27, 2005 3:41 pm

hi all, totally new to WinEQ, but i already loved it since i installed it yesterday !!

I have some very basic (and stupid) questions.. I tried to look throught the forum but cant find anything, probably it's just too dumb of me to figure out anything on my own

1. What does PIP (picture-in-picture) mean?

2. WinEQ emulates EQ windows when scale factor > 1 ? Any possible way to increase the windows size but also maintain quality?

3. Auto-release, what does it do..??

4. I made a profile, but nothing happen when I clicked on the profile in Game Menu Selection, I still have to start the game by clicking WinEQ 2.0 Defult Profile. Maybe I forgot to change/add something?

5. One of my computer can run WinEQ, another computer doesnt. When I start EQ with WinEQ, it just start the game itself, not in the WinEQ window. Both computers are Win2000 and they are in the same room, using the same ADSL connection.

I think thats enough questions for today, hope these noob questions dont annoy you guys tooo much

question

No question is dump first off .

MY question is do you no someone that is using it nere you.

If you are having that much trouble using it ,Ask a freind , becuase if you are having that much trouble it will to be hard over the internet with the question you are asking .

if we can't see what your doing or even be there .

but here goes right click the WinEQ icon on taskbar. when you right click it , look under OPtions , just below you will see a link that says WinEQ 2.0 Manual.

YOU NO THE REST :))

After you read that, it shouldn't be a problem it's well writen.

then after you get it going and no a little more . then it will a liitle easyer for us the user to help you more.

thanks for the reply, I did read throught the manul but it does not explain things such as "Picture-in-Picture", it does explain "Auto Release", but I do not really understand it " :-(

and sorry I do not have friend using WinEQ. I am not having trouble using, I just hope to make a good use of it. After spending hours reading the manul and trying out stuff, I thought the quicker way maybe list my problem/questions here.

I have figured out the window-size bit though :D

but my texture memory and system ram available are verly low...
I have 1023MB but now only 5-10% is available.. is it normal?

Post your logs from the WinEQ folder, the way to get that is Log in the game.

then log out , but don't log WinEQ back on , just click off the icon on your taskbar.

then go to the your WinEQ Folder.

the log's are if i rember right to post are :

SysInfo and what ever game (s) you are playing the Configuration setting OR INI FILE.

Then other's i m sure can give real good advice on how to set up your Video card for EQ or Any of the other games . If it's EQ 1 i payed EQ1 for 5 years , And can give a little help. I play WoW now and it's a lot easyer to trouble shoot.
