Video Capture

Post by Tuifel » Sun Jan 02, 2005 9:17 pm

I have been trying to get the video cap thing to work in WoW. And every time I try and capture video, I get the overlay text saying it failed, I may need to wait for a previous video to be encoded... The problem is, I have never encoded or sucessfully captured a video.

1) Make sure you have Windows Media Player 9 or later
2) Try resizing the WoW window a little bit. The size must be even, and a few other minor requirements. You can use a WinEQ preset to size it to a specific regular size (e.g. 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024, etc) and those generally dont have any problems

Other than that, I haven't seen a problem with recording.

I'm stupid. Never bothered to check if I had media player 9. Thanks lax.
