WoW screen placement on start up

Post by bob_the_builder » Sun Dec 26, 2004 10:21 am

I am having an issue with WoW were as the game from the login to character to play are all moved up and to the left about 1/8"

The cursor thinks the game isnt up and to the left 1/8" so I actually have to click on things below and to the right 1/8"

To fix this I just got SHIFT-ALT-T then SHIFT-ALT-F then it's placed correctly

If I use the SHIFT-ALT-N then the screen placement is about exactly were SHIFT-ALT-F is located.

My Video Options for WOW are same reso and refresh as desktop 1280x1024 and it is set for windowed mode.

What do I need to do to resolve this or what can I post for review?

I'll have to test and see why this would happen, but WoW expects the border to be thick. If you have your default preset set with no borders, you probably will see this problem. The full screen preset DOES have borders (they are just off the screen)

I havent done any changes Just used the default. Installed on a nother machine did the same thing. Were using Default Preset as Full Screen Emulated and the Video setting in wow is Windowed Mode.

Ah. If you set the default to normal, and then switch to Full Screen Emulated preset, does that make it work correctly? It's probably that the window is set too early and the settings need to be re-applied.
