Hi,
I'm having probelms with EQ sessions constantly crashing out. I am trying to 4 box (which I have done successfully with EQWindows for years). Most of the sessions to initally load but I have not ever been able to get them all logged in before they start crashing out. Tried it with and without (prefer with) Macroquest2 loaded.
This works fine with EQWindows + EQPlaynice but I'd rather use this program if possible. I am not tiling windows, I'm just keeping them on top of each other.

It's not incredibly user friendly at the moment, I'm about to start adding UI stuff to help with the stuff that should be easy. The reason EQ doesn't show up in the menu is the registry key that stores the EQ path wasnt found. To make it show up in the menu, right click on the IS icon in the system tray and click on Console. In the console window type the following command:
profile "EverQuest Default Profile" -set path "c:\program files\everquest"
But with the path to your EverQuest in place of the second part.

OK,
I got the "Default Everquest Profile" to work. Now I need to set "sub profiles" like in EQ2 to point to my 5 EQ directories (I run each char from a different directory). I tried a bunch of modification to the line you gave me but haven't figured out how to create a subprofile for each of my windows. I could try running all 5 out of one directory but I was told a long time ago that was a bad idea.

Why is it a bad idea? Your computer would have a fit trying to run 5 from separate directories, because it wouldnt be able to use its cache systems. The only argument FOR it assuming your computer isn't from the mid 90s is not having to re-type your account name/password each time...
Anyway, you dont really want "sub" profiles, just extra profiles. You can create an infinite number of copies of the profile you have working. What you do is issue the command to add a profile, and after the name you use for the profile, supply the name of the one you want to copy settings from.
e.g.
Profiles -add "EverQuest Profile 2" "EverQuest Default Profile"
Then you just set the path for each copy, like so:
Profile "EverQuest Profile 2" -set path "c:\path\to\eq"
That should be all you need to get them going
