EQ1 Crashes when 2 boxing

Happens pretty quickly, I tend to do alot of alt+tabs.

Plus: I tend to use 1.38 for EQ1 rather than the 2.X series, orginially it was because of sticky key problem...

I'm going to have to make a good list of all loaded modules rather than just the ones WinEQ takes a glance at. Have you made sure it's not one of your mq2 plugins?

Same problem when not using MQ2. After just a couple of windows swaps between sessions and an alt+tab or 2 out of EQ to IE, one of the sessions will crash.

Definitely something wrong with the EQPlayNice settings. Fix them and it may work fine again. Make sure they get set to 1/x rather than x-1 also. I'll see if I can figure out what's messing them up...

deleted the eqplaynice.ini. I dont use it when I run MQ2, I still use MQ2FPS. Dont know what caused the corruption of that ini file.

Hmmmm.. I see you're using omega drivers. NVIDIA officially released new drivers on their site a week or two ago, try those maybe? I really don't see any reason for it to be crashing from your info, unless perhaps there's an issue with WinEQ 2.0 on the AMD 64's..

Drivers where 66.7x prior to yesterday afternoon. I had already switched out drivers for Omega to try and make things better in EQ2. Hence the Driver Cleaner 3 Install. The problem persisted across drivers. The issue doesnt exist under 1.38, so I'm fine as long as you continue to allow it to be run :)

Ok, here is what I have found out. It can crash with just one account open. It only appears to crash when I use cntrl+alt+number to switch back to game from outside of game. Ie if I only have one session open, and I use alt+tab to switch to IE, then do cntrl+alt+1 to get back to game it is almost guaranteed to crash. If I just alt+tab it wont. My last test was with EqPlaynice turned off.

I have also been having a problem with crashing as you have described. I know part of my problem is memory as I only have 1024 and will be getting more but I also have AMD XP 3000+. Maybe it isn't all memory related. ??

I updated WinEQ last night to put complete information about loaded modules into the SysInfo.txt. If you have crash problems, make sure you have the latest WinEQ and post the contents of SysInfo.txt which is generated when entering the game (or when selecting Generate System Info from the game window's context menu)

Just to satisfy a hunch.. can you disable sound through the WinEQ profiles?

Also Bombadil, I dont know how good you are with debuggers, and I'm almost positive I asked you to do this before, but if you can try to get debug info the same way you would for MQ2 ;)

Of course the bug has to be in D3DX, where I probably cant fix it. Odd that this is the first time I've heard of this bug in EQ though
