I load up and whenever it gets ready to load character log in screen (where characters rotate) i get the "everquest may have crashed" blah blah blah thing. what is going on ? help!

you should ask questions about EQPlayNice on the EQPlayNice board. But, assuming you're using EQPlayNice 1.06 you shouldnt have a crash issue. I am aware of a minor issue that causes crashes for some people and am currently working on it

I'm crashing every time I get to character select also. Is the old version of EQPlaynice still available for download?
I couldn't access the EQPlaynice Board when I tried, got some message saying I needed special access.

Have you downloaded v1.07? It should fix the char select crash bug. The old EQPN no longer works as of the 07/14 patch.

Im having the same problem when it goes to the character login screen it says It may have crashed. I had old EQPlayNice and everything was working fine but i got new parts for my comp so i had to format it. So now i downloaded the latest EQPN and it crashes. Can someone give me a link for the old EQPlayNice please?

the old playnice wont work due to server patch
sit tight and wait for the new to be released by Lax, then it should work again.

Yeah, EQPlaynice version 1.06 crashed me nonstop at the character select screen as well. Definitely is happening. But, version 1.07 works fine. Sigh, now theres another patch this morning. And my fps is down again, as well as higher CPU.... Damn SOE
