Expanding Wow to 2 monitors

Post by dego62 » Sun Sep 06, 2009 3:40 pm

hello,

I am trying to make it so that I can have my WoW screen on my left monitor and then move my addons to my right monitor.

I have inner space and was told i could use it to get what i want but I am not sure how to do it, I am slightly computer illiterate

thanks for the help!

Well, depending on your video card and drivers....

My system is Vista x64 and an nVidia 8800 GTX. All I do is open my nVidia control panel and and under "display" I click "setup multiple displays".

I match the resolution and setup my preferred positioning... takes 30 seconds.

I find this setup works best if my game is in "Windowed" mode.

Ok, three ways to do this, that I know of.

First is launch the game though Innerspace and use the in game console ( ` by default) and type in "windowsize 3840x1080" this is assuming 1920x1080 for both monitors. If using different resolution, then just add them together and change the windowsize command.

The second is to modify the profile launched, I would suggest doing the first to get the correct size. This is done by going into Innerspace Configuration - "Game Configuration" tab, and selecting the game. After that you can select Startup (if you want ALL launches to do it, or choose a profile and then choose Startup. Once inside choose "Insert", name it, and in the "Command to Execute" type in the "windowsize 3840x1080" command you got in the first way.

The third (easier in ways) is to use IS:Boxer and just have one character linked to it. Make a compete setup in IS:Boxer (most of the items you can ignore, such as you won't need Key Maps), but Window Layouts you can have IS:Boxer span WoW out across two monitors using the GUI. Just make sure that you make two regions that are the same size. (IS:Boxer expects to be handling multiple windows, and this just makes it happy)

Hope this helps,
