Need Help with ISBoxer

Post by alienaa » Sun Aug 09, 2009 12:37 am

When i installed and tried to launch ISBoxer an error message came up saying "Inner Space Game Configuration was unable to be loaded from the selected inner space folder. ....Will not be able to select a game or game profile for character Until ISBoxer toolkit can read your Inner Space Configuration." .... i installed ISBoxer to the default folder which was named innerspace. I've tried reloading, same thing comes up.

You need to install it where you installed innerspace. the "default" folder isn't accurate.

I.E. For me, it wants to install it onto my C drive by default, however, I have t installed on my D drive.

So if default is c:\program files\innerspace but you have it installed in c:\awesome programs\innerspace then you need to change your destination to the correct one.

Hope thats semi-clear for ya.

Make sure you have installed Inner Space, run it, and closed it at least once.

For me my innerspace folder is at C:\Program Files (x86)\InnerSpace
I installed ISBoxer to that file.
I ran and closed Innerspace before installing.
Same message comes up.

Okay.

First, check that the Inner Space menu (right click on the icon from the system tray) is showing the game you're going to play. If not, then you'll need to add it by using "Add Game".

Make sure that ISBoxer is looking in the right place:
1. When you first launch ISBoxer, "ISBoxer" is selected at the top. Select that (or leave it selected).
2. In the bottom left, select "Inner Space"
3. In the bottom right, you should now see where ISBoxer is looking for the Inner Space folder. Make sure that it is pointing to the right place (which you said is "C:\Program Files (x86)\InnerSpace" for you)

When Inner Space is closed, it's going to write its configuration files to disk. Those files are InnerSpace.XML and GameConfiguration.XML. The one ISBoxer is complaining about is GameConfiguration.XML -- it apparently does not exist in the folder ISBoxer thinks is the Inner Space folder. In other words, the last thing to check at this point would be if GameConfiguration.XML exists in C:\Program Files (x86)\InnerSpace.
