Runes of Magic & ISBoxer

Post by Digitalxero » Wed Apr 01, 2009 2:10 pm

Ok I have Runes of Magic and ISBoxer. I Click on Add Game in the Innerspace Uplink, and add RoM which seems to work fine. I select the profile and it launches the game patcher, but I cannot bring up an in game console via the ` key and when I launch via my configured ISBoxer group it does not bring the client windows into the correct layout.

I am guessing this is because it is launching the patcher and not the client itself. There is a command line option to launch directly into the client skipping the patcher, and I set that in the Main executable parameters section, but it still launches the patcher. So I went and tested the command via the command line ("C:\Program Files\Runes of Magic\Client.exe" NoCheckVersion) and that too still launched the patcher, so I made a shortcut of Client.exe and set the target to ("C:\Program Files\Runes of Magic\Client.exe" NoCheckVersion) and poof it worked, I only got the client and no patcher what the difference is I dont know, but I cannot select the shortcut as the file to launch via IS.

So I seem to be stuck at this point, Also since I cannot bring up the in game console I am guessing the key/mouse bindings would not work properly.

Some games use anti hack/cheat measures (like GameGuard) and will not let other programs detour or hook video, mouse and keyboard. That might be the case with Runes of Magic.

Nope no GG or any other anti-hacking tools in use cause I can use MicroMacro to hook into the mouse and keyboard without issue
