I am using Vista X64 and it has .net2.0 built in . But everytime I use
ext isxeq2, I can not auto update isxeq2.
Well ,I try to download and install .net2.0 ,but vista always says .net2.0 has already installed on this machine.Maybe the folder of .net2.0 is different from XP? Not sure.
Amadeus tells me I should ask here for help.
thanks.

Ask that question over on
www.isxgames.com. You will find support there.

The ISXEQ2 message about needing to install .NET 2.0 is obviously incorrect in this instance. The real error message that is important here is the one from Inner Space itself:
Code: Select all
.NET initialization error (code 3)
I'm going to be putting up a new Inner Space build today that adds more information to the message in order for me to identify the cause of the message (it could be one of several things). I will post when it's up, and at that point if you could try using it and let me know the new error code, and I should be able to fix the problem or tell you what to try.

Sorry, I've been a little preoccupied with some bigger problems (not that your issue is not important). The update in question is currently available as a development build. You can switch to it (open the IS patcher window, check the Development builds box, and restart IS) and attempt to do what you have done before, and now the "code 3" line should provide more information.

Update: The same error occurs, but isxeq2 still loads properly and everything functions just fine. So it must be a false error or something.

Errr.. Well, as I said, the code 3 line should provide more information (a code to report to me). As I recall, I got the added info from someone else, and it turns out there may not be anything I can do about it. The error code is basically documented by Microsoft as "Failed" and says to solve it by restarting the process. Thanks Microsoft!
