Everquest wineq problem
I have been boxing for a while on my laptop, and I was looking for a program to make it easier than just running in the stock everquest windows. I was able to run 6 windows of the stock everquest with all high settings, but on wineq tiling I get slow motion lag (shows down to about 33% ram use on the counter with only running two chars on wineq). I am not much of a configer or computer guru, but I turned down all my settings to the lowest i could and no change. I would appreciate any help. Thanks!

This is with two chars running in ultra slow mo.
They're actually going in FAST-mo, much faster than without it. Think of it more like a strobe light.
If you want to disable it, go to the EQPlayNice settings in the WinEQ 2 Preferences window, and under Background, change the number 30 in "Rendering Limit" to the number 1. Then you get full motion video. I promise you, they are not moving one bit slower.
Rendering Limiting is reducing the amount of CPU (and GPU) the game uses by making it not draw the world -- the UI is still drawn. This cuts EQ's processor time in half, meaning two frames (as in "my FPS is 30") can fit in the amount of time that only one previously did (as in, "my FPS could now be 60"). In EQ, your character's movement is more precise and in fact faster, albeit with diminishing returns, as your FPS increases. If you put yourself on autorun across a zone at 30 FPS and time it, and then at 60 FPS and time it, you will have gotten there slightly faster at 60 FPS. The difference is much more noticeable when you put a few characters autofollowing another. The ones with lower framerate may fall behind and stop following, or they turn slower and run into walls, and so on.
So, for performance, it is HIGHLY recommended to leave it as is. However, if you want to ease your mind and/or see full motion video, at the expense of those performance bonuses, disabling Rendering Limiting is the way to go (by changing the 1 in 30 to 1 in 1)
