nProtect GameGuard

Post by Draven » Mon Jun 04, 2007 1:56 pm

Any idea if IS is effective against this?

Many more asian based MMO's are using this product (including Hero Online and 9Dragons) it seems.

I'll try it tonight and post if it was worked, but was wondering if anyone had tried it with some other game protected by GameGuard?

Draven-

IS isn't "effective against" anything. IS is a platform to work within a directx game that provides common tools (scripting language, UI, etc).

You may be thinking of ISXWarden, which is an extension built on top of IS to protect users of World of Warcraft against the Warden monitor system. ISXWarden is built specifically for Warden / WOW and would not be applicable to a different monitoring system.

You could use IS as a base to develop something that would manage GameGuard for you.

You may find more info about IS extensions at ismods.com.

No no. IS does include stealth capabilities.

Straight from the Wiki:

"Inner Space employs advanced stealthing tactics to hide itself and loaded extensions from its host process. Popular anti-cheat detection systems such as Punkbuster, VAC, VAC2, and Warden do not have knowledge of Inner Space (though of course, it cannot be guaranteed by Inner Space itself that modifications to the games made by extensions are not detected)."

I've used IS with WoW for many months now and am familiar with how it integrates in with ISXWarden and ISXWoW. I'm not looking for an extension, just looking to see if IS will be detected by GameGuard.

Yep, just tried it with 9Dragons. Doesn't appear to work.

Once 9Dragons is running, it never shows up in the task list. Is GameGuard somehow stealthing 9Dragons from IS?

It's be awesome to have IS work with nProtect. Someone just has to make some extensions for that.
