I am very sorry to say that EQPN is not supported on the test server.

Every time the eqgame.exe is changed, lax has to update EQPN to work with it and unfortunately the test server does it too often.

EQPN is fully supported on the EQ live servers.

Was just following directions in the pop-up. As it does pop up even for test server.

Perhaps a better post might be:

"Can you make the utility detect TestEQGame.exe and pop up a not supported message, rather than a please report this incompatibility as follows message?"

Really wasn't trying to bust anyone's chops. <sigh>

It has been my understanding that EQtest is a) not a priority and b) may or may not get support during any given time period. No big deal to me. The pop-up said report it. The boards say report in a new thread even if there are other posts that may seem related. That's what I did. I had no ridiculous expectations whatsoever. Didn't even expect a response.

Returning to anonymity.

Kardath-

I didn't think you were busting anyones chops. I didn't know if you were aware of the limitations of the test server, but it seems you are! :)

In the future, if you play on test all the time, you can disable EQPN by:
  • Right click on WinEQ2 icon in the systray
    Options
    Preferences
    Click the + next to EverQuest
    Subsection General under EverQuest
    EQPlayNice --> Off
    Click OK
    Restart WinEQ
