IE 7 and wineq

Post by Kaycee » Tue Feb 06, 2007 4:24 pm

I know quit posting problems with vista lol. Just thought I'd throw another one at ya I discovered messing around. When wineq is running in the sys tray windows wont let IE start up when ya dbl click the icon. if you have an instance of IE running prior to launching wineq you can use that one but not open additional instances of it.

This occures under Vista ultimate and premium from what I've discovered.

Actually found out the issue with IE not opening with wineq active :). Appearantly it has something to do with the User Account Control option. WIth it enabled you cant open IE with wineq running. With it turned off all works fine :).

Still havent figured out where my fps numbers went so thats the only issue I have now ;)

i actually dont mind the UAC.. but maybe i'll try turning it off and seeing if wineq doesn't freeze (as posted in my thread) without that on. of course that means i'll have to turn it off every time i wanna play EQ, but no biggie I guess

I appreciate the efforts that you're putting into this. I'm sure it's not easy.
