Innerspace is unstable
I will not be using Innerspace anymore. Its entirely too unstable. And every time there is a patch, somehow extra keys our bound that affect useability. And then there is the background FPS problem which definitely makes the game useless to anyone that multiboxes. No, the lock foreground option doesn't work.
This last build, somehow the z key is bound to session switching, making it impossible to type a word with a z in it. The ` key is borked again for bringing up the session console.
I'm highly disappointed in the quality of this software, especially considering how well WinEQ and other software you have available work.

Excuse me for sounding coarse in this resopnse.
First of all, when you have a problem, mention what GAME you are playing. For anyone reading, qinen is specifically playing EverQuest 1.
Secondly, there haven't been new keys introduced by default in over a year. There are no new keys, and probably won't be. The Z key is "bound to session switching" because of a bug that makes some keys stick in EverQuest 1 when you alt+tab, with the Lock Foreground option enabled. If you tap ctrl and alt, IS will recognize their non-pressed state. I am aware of this bug and will be fixing it when I get a chance. The key sequence that is bound by default that you're hitting is CTRL+ALT+Z. The ` key is not actually borked either.
Thirdly, the background FPS issue is also specific to EQ1, and has something to do with their FPS limiter. I have talked to plenty of people who subsequently thanked me after they simply enabled lock foreground. I don't know why it wouldn't work for you, unless perhaps you didnt restart the session, or possibly didnt hit apply, or for whatever other reason the setting was not applied.
Thank you for assaulting the quality of the software, it's really appreciated considering the mountains of hours of work done on the software, which many people use for games other than EverQuest 1 who have absolutely no idea why you're complaining about these problems because they don't happen to them. In fact, only a handful of people have used the software with EverQuest 1 due to the freely available MacroQuest 2, and therefore the bulk of the bugs reported are for players of World of Warcraft and EverQuest 2 -- and bugs get fixed when they are reported. So, when the first I hear of an issue is some guy flaming the software because it is "unstable" and "never works" and so on, I tend to not be happy about it.
I just happened to return from a relaxing couple days with my wife on our anniversary. Thanks for jolting me back into the world where nobody gives a shit what goes into a product of a small business, they just want to complain when there is some mediocre issue with ctrl and alt sticking that they could just tap the keys to fix until the problem gets resolved, after reporting the issue in a non-accusational way, but instead explain that the whole ordeal has made them suffer so greatly that their life is now in ruin and their dog must now be euthanized because of the onslaught, because it is too sad after their son died that it can no longer continue life. Well, I'm sorry that it caused you so much anguish.
The bug will be fixed as soon as I get a chance, thank you for the report.

This software does what I want it to, and more. I play EQ1, and I'm happy with it. I have pestered the hell out of Lax to understand things, because I don't always get what others are trying to say in the wiki and such. That said, I multibox on my system and have, since Lax finally pounded it into my head, had no problems with FPS, unless I have extra software running that is taking up CPU cycles unnecessarily.
<snip>
Lax, keep up the great work. Your program makes EQ an enjoyable game, again.
EDIT: unless you are Lax, please refrain from flaming the customers.

Your problems are specific to the screwed up way Sony does things in EQ1. Coming in here ranting about the software as a whole when you have specific problems is not professional as a customer, and it shows me that you haven't actually researched the problem. Had you simply logged into irc and chatted with folks in the #isxeq channel you would know that we have our own specific ways of dealing with EQ issues.
Speaking of which, your issues are already on the list of ones that we have overcame. Just because Sony does some messed up shit with EQ1 doesn't mean Lavishsoft has to 100% support it. The program is a platform for many games, not an EQ1 tool.
I have been involved with the EQ1 portion of Innerspace since its inception, and I am happy with the quality of support we have gotten. I would suggest you rethink the points of your post. If you simply just walk out based on what you've described, I would not miss you.
