Innerspace Compatability question

Post by tehtsuo » Wed Aug 30, 2006 11:33 pm

I just wanted to check to see if there is any information on using Innerspace for games that use nProtect Gameguard. I am specifically interested in using Innerspace with the game "Flyff" (http://flyff.gpotato.com)

While Flyff is relatively easy on processor requirements, running multiple copies of the game on one PC is locked down pretty hard. I figured Innerspace might do the trick; from my limited knowledge of the workings I take it that Innerspace wraps a shell around the program so it can't see outside it. However I wanted to check on here before I tried just to make sure. Thanks in advance! 8)

Well, your statement about wrapping a shell around it is kind of ambiguous, but either way it's kind of wrong. Inner Space generally takes a passive approach to preventing the games from seeing it. It is a layer between Windows and the application, and if the game is looking for that layer, it will find IS. It can be stopped from seeing that you have InnerSpace.dll and other IS modules loaded by enabling stealth.

But either way, you can try running Flyff and see if it works. It used to, and it is on the list of games that we have successfully played ourselves with IS http://www.lavishsoft.com/wiki/index.ph ... rted_Games

Heh did I mention my knowledge of Innerspace was limited? :D

Anyways, I tried loading it from Innerspace, and it starts the patcher(What loads when you first run the game), but removes all the buttons so I can't start the game. Any ideas?
