Background applications

Post by Mysteryman » Tue Aug 29, 2006 8:40 pm

Is it possible to hid from an application that it is not the current foreground application?

Playing l2, and when I put one instance of it into the background, i can no longer "control" copy 2 via command messages. The script functions fine, but the keypresses are not accepted ( background application only ). I'm guessing they added some check for this.

Also, when using a UI. I 'm noticing kb actions on the UI will "bleed though" into the game it's self. so i end up running in odd directions while clicking on my IS UI.

Interesting. Sounds like the input system is not working correctly, the input should never bleed through. I'll have to take a look at that -- I just wish pathcing L2 was less of a pain in the ass. I gave up after about 6 hours last time.

But, as far as the background thing goes, you can try enabling "Lock Foreground" in the settings in the IS configuration window.

Yea. You must be behind a cronical or something. they are on 4 now. 5 goes out on Sept the 6th. Those patches are huge on cronicals. I'll give the lock foreground a try too. Thanks.
