Could not verify lavish software account verification

I get this error everytime i try to open wineq 2.0
It just started today after a restart.

Any suggestions?

I have redownloaded, uninstall and reinstalled, and still the same thing.

Thanks for any help

Hmm I need to put in more diagnostic information in that error message. What you need to do is open up regedit, and delete the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Lavish Software

If you dont know how to do that, the alternative is to download and install Inner Space -- even if you dont plan on using it. Hopefully that will let you use the tray menu (just like the WinEQ 2 one), and just select the Lavish Login option. Enter your account information and leave the automatic login box unchecked for now (this will delete the mentioned registry key for you). Then shut that down and see if you can properly launch WinEQ 2.

I'll make a modification to WinEQ 2 tomorrow that should help fix that problem, but let me know.

I deleted the key in my registry, and then reinstalled and opened wineq2.0
The login box came up and prompted for my username and password. I put it in and then it came up with the same error again. I tried deleting the key, not reinstalling, deleting the key and redownloading and reinstalling. This was as of 6 am this morning.
Still getting the same "could not verify your login information".

Thanks again for all your help.

OK, theres possibly 1 more step after this depending on the error number. I just updated the WinEQ 2 download with a new installer, use that and run WinEQ 2, and this time there should be a number at the end of the error message. Tell me the number and then I can take care of the problem. If there is no number, then your browser or ISP cached the download and isnt letting you grab the new one (which could BE the problem, but we'll find out). If you get a completely different error or no error, please let me know that too.

-13 shouldn't be possible with the current WinEQ 2 version. Instead, you should get this message:

Could not connect to Lavish Software. Make sure your firewall is not blocking WinEQ 2 from making outgoing connections, and try again.
