Try downloading the latest exe from: http://eqlive.station.sony.com/support/ ... rQuest.zip

(EverQuest Patcher Help in EverQuestLive.com/Support/Tech Support/EverQuest Patcher Help).

Try mijuki's suggestion. If you're still having problems after that, paste your sysinfo.txt. Does this happen without WinEQ? If you havent tried, please do so. If it happens without WinEQ, then it's a problem on your system that should probably be resolved before trying to use WinEQ. If it doesn't, show me the contents of your SysInfo.txt file.

99% of the time, crashes like this one are either
a) Windows is not patched with critical updates
b) a virus or spyware present on the system are interfering with WinEQ. It might sound crazy, but a lot of spyware isnt compatible with WinEQ :)

Remove the fake d3d9.dll from your EQ folder and try again

empty folder?

The only thing I can tell you is that your WinEQ 1.38 log shows a crash when Direct3D 9 is supposed to load. In the past this has been caused by fake d3d9.dlls such as auto-fire macros. Deleting the fake d3d9.dll fixes the problem.

Are you sure it's everquest.exe crashing and not eqgame.exe? Have you tried disabling patching in WinEQ?

Unless you can provide me with sysinfo.txt from WinEQ 2, there's not much I can do for you.

Have you scanned for spyware?

Have scanned for spyware and found nothing.... Can't find any sysinfo.txt for wineq2 file anywhere.
