Not really a bug so much as just not having it supported yet ;) I'll add that version, thanks for the report

Okay, it is supported now. Let me know if you have any more problems. I know for sure that if you have Windows in French mode the hotkeys wont be set up correctly unless you set them yourself, but other than that let me know

ok seems to work... almost :p (yes, i'm a pain)

firstly : keyboard seems not to be recognized. i can't move, i can't open windows ("i" for inventory for instance), i can't use the keyboard at char'screen,... though i've selected the french keyboard in the options.

maybe is that because i use an english-US winXP ? but i do not have this issue with winEQ 1.38.

second : i have lot of lag ! i did not change any options from EQPN and i had an horrible framerate (12/40 instead of 39/40 with winEQ 1.38).

what can i do to help you out with this ?

Do you see the overlay text in the upper left corner, from the EULA screen? Says "WinEQ 2.0 Closed Beta - EverQuest" and you cant miss it. If NOT, then uninstall and reinstall your video card drivers. Post the file "SysInfo.txt" for me, which WinEQ 2.0 creates. This will give me some info about your settings that might give other reasons for the lag.

oh and I'll work on the keyboard thing ;) I'm going to try to have the non-English keybord stuff solved for the next WinEQ 2 update.

When you say "no keyboard" .. you were able to log in using the keyboard, correct?

For the framerate issues, I see you have a video card that has multiple video outputs. Are you using two monitors?

correct.
i can type in my login and password. the problem rises when at the char select screen and in game

not at all.
my video card has 2 outputs (SVGA -is it the right name ? i forgot- and DVI). i use the common (SVGA ?) for my monitor.

Okay, what zone are you testing in and what FPS are you getting there?

Also, if you're running MQ2FPS you need to either disable WinEQ 2.0's EQPlayNice integration or MQ2FPS, or both will be giving up CPU time.

well i tested the bazar. i usually get 39/40 fps while using EQPN+winEQ 1.38. now i have around 12-19 fps.

but even the char select screen is crappy

i'm not using MQ2FPS. i also tested it without mq2 with no improval.

Okay, thanks for the info I will get things updated for EQ's old engine and see if that improves things. I'll do more testing with the keyboard issue as well.

i don't know if you tried to get the fix ready for the RC3, anyhow i tested it.

so in can confirm that with the RC3 i still have the same "bugs".

from the select screen and above i have a sucky FPS (best i could see at the char select was 15 fps) and the keyboard is still "not recognized" :/

i copy/paste the sysinfo, if you need it :

the only difference i see is on the eqgame.exe version, since the french server has been patched yesterday to meet up with the US version (or at least that's what UBI soft told us :p)
