Video Reset Problem with EQ1

Post by Mulcade » Fri Jan 28, 2005 8:17 am

I'm having problems with the video resetting to normal when I /camp desktop on my two EQ1 sessions. My normal operating gamma and brightness settings are much lower than what EQ sets them to on load.

Here's my sysinfo.txt. Let me know what other information would be helpful!

Not sure I understand. When you first start the WinEQ program, it takes the current gamma level and stores it. When EQ closes, it resets the gamma to that level. If WinEQ is closed, it also resets the gamma to the original level.

Is the problem that the gamma is not being restored, or are you confused because it is being restored? It's not really clear from your post, sorry ;) At any rate, if you open WinEQ before starting any EQ, and then close it after closing all EQ's, your gamma should be reset to the original level. Does this information help you?

Not sure about his problem, but to answer your question in my case, If I log out of EQ1 all the way, I am still using the GAMMA from EQ as it does not reset. Only way for me to use the actual Windows GAMMA is to close out WinEQ2

In Otherwords, logging out all the way or crashing to desktop, everything remains bright for me until I close WinEQ2

If needed, I'll start my own thread with whatever info you want

The way it work was I would start out with Windows GAMMA settings, start WinEQ2, then the sessions using the shortcuts I created through WinEQ2 and it would change the GAMMA based on EQ's settings. After I was done and closed eq and wineq2, the gamma did not reset to what I had Windows at originally.

That being said, it turns out that my damn girlfriend had been messing with my system and had changed the contrast and brightness on my monitor. So, problem solved.

Thanks for the effort, though! :P
