Aborting patch? why?

Post by sober » Fri Dec 30, 2005 10:20 pm

The error message is:
"Could not successfully retrieve new file Interface\TableControl.png(-16).
Aborting patch. You may continue to use the software."

then another error message:
"Inner space is only available to Lavish Software subscribers."

I assume you mean TabControl.png, and -16 indicates a timeout occurred. What kind of connection are you on? What kind of computer is this?

Well, a timeout during patching will occur only if the file has taken more than 60 seconds to download, and no data has been received for 6 seconds. The file in question is only 1k in size, which is generally going to be sent in 1 shot. Barring firewall issues, issues with your home router (if you have one), or hardware problems (bad RAM, bad CPU, etc) theres not much reason for a timeout.

I sent that file to you in email to the address you signed up with, let me know if it helps.

Thanks for your support. I placed the file in \Interface and it patch the reset. I think it's very strange, I can patch the other files bigger than it,maybe my ISP's firewall filter it?
Anyway , I can use IS now, thanks a lot.
