Types of Mapped Key Actions in ISBoxer

Mapped Key Actions, as the name suggests, go in Mapped Keys. All Mapped Key Actions are created by right clicking on Actions in the desired Step of a Mapped Key, and finding the appropriate "New <action>" menu item.

Detailed instructions for creating each type of Mapped Key Action will be available here soon, but the information below should be plenty.

Keystroke

A Keystroke Action is capable of sending a given keystroke to any particular Target. The keystroke may include modifier keys (Shift, Alt, Ctrl). The keystroke does not have to be the same as the Hotkey on the Mapped Key, and does not have to have the same modifiers as the Hotkey, even for the current window. For example, if your Hotkey happened to be Shift+Alt+Q, and it was instructed to send F to a Target that includes the current window, the F will be interpreted as F, and not Shift+Alt+F.

Key Map State

A Key Map State Action can be used to change the state of a Key Map on any particular Target. A Key Map can be toggled, turned on, or turned off.

Light

A Light Action can be used to change the state of an M-light on a G-15 or G-11 keyboard, on any linked Computer. A light can be toggled, turned on, or turned off.

Popup Text

A Popup Text Action can be used to temporarily display an in-game text notice on a given Target.

Repeater List

A Repeater List Action can be used to change the Repeater White or Black list on a given Target.

Repeater Regions

A Repeater Regions Action can be used to clear current Repeater Regions on all Characters, or load a specific set of Repeater Regions on all Characters.

Repeater State

A Repeater State Action can be used to change the Repeater State on any given Target. Key and/or Mouse repeat can be toggled, turned on, or turned off.

Send Next Click

A Send Next Click Action can be used to trigger a Send Next Click to any given Target. Send Next Click will not currently block the click from the current window, but this option will soon be available. Send Next Click will temporarily enable Mouse Repeat to a given target (also includes modifier keys Shift,Alt,Ctrl), until you click and release any mouse button.

Sound

A Sound Action can be used to play a sound file on any linked Computer, or to enable or disable ISBoxer sounds on any linked Computer.

Target Group

A Target Group Action can be used to have any given Target leave or join any given Action Target Group. Note that World of Warcraft Macros will not be re-generated when joining or leaving an Action Target Group during play.

World of Warcraft Macro

A World of Warcraft Macro Action is exactly the same as a Keystroke Action, except that when exported, the ISBoxer Addon for World of Warcraft will generate a Macro and assign it to the given Keystroke. It is important to note that because it is the same as a Keystroke Action, if the same key combination is used for different Macros for any given Character, the same thing will necessarily happen each time the key combination is received by the game. Only one Macro can be assigned to any given key combination for any given Character.

See World of Warcraft Macro Action in the Special ISBoxer configuration for World of Warcraft page for more information on the capabilities of World of Warcraft Macro Actions, including the ability to generate different Macros depending on the Characters in play. Also note that any World of Warcraft Macro Action that uses generation conditions based on Action Target Groups will use the initial Action Target Groups assigned to the Character, and will not be re-generated if using a Target Group Action.
