can not login with innerspace error -14

Post by burningforce » Thu Jul 30, 2009 11:55 am

Hello

I am trying to login to innerspace and I keep getting "authentication failed error (-14)"

I had a password with special characters in it, so I tried changing the password to something else and am still getting the error. I allowed innerspace program in windows firewall and still no go

do I need to allow innerspace port in my router? Thats the only thing I can think of. I just need the port to the authentication server so I can allow in the router(if I have to)

thanks

-14 is saying your PC is disconnecting from our server during the authentication process -- after the initial connection, so it wouldn't be from windows firewall. This type of error usually resolves itself with a little bit of time.

It may possibly be related to ISP issues (somewhere between your PC and our servers), home wireless issues, or from certain types of downloads or downloaders running. If you changed something between the time it worked, and the time it didnt, then you could consider that possibly related.

Inner Space does not need you to open a port, it uses an outgoing connection only (home routers usually only manage incoming ports).

thanks for the response Lax

But the thing is it never worked since i downloaded and installed it.

I was using it for World of warcraft and it worked even when I failed authenticate. this was after it patched itself. Not sure if your servers detect firefox cookies and uses that to authenticate. Or I could not have been using the pro version this whole time

Overall i am happy with my purchase and will continue to resubscribe. Great piece of software.

thanks for the help

ok I formatted my HD and the username/password worked. I ticked the box " remember the user/pass on this computer" so I will not have problems.
