Has anyone tried running Inner Space with Aion?

I'm using Inner Space and ISBoxer Suite, it opens multiple instances of the game just fine, but it doesn't seem to work.

It uses Gameguard, you think it's because of that?

GameGuard maybe blocking the keyboard and video hooks that IS installs.

This game will be in beta in the US soon. Maybe Lax will take a look for us.

It would indeed have something to do with GameGuard. Several people had applied for free IS trials to try with Aion, and I sent each of them a note with the trial activation email to let me know how it went, and none of them got back to me

So this is the first I've heard so far. Once I am able to access the game I will see what I can do

You can try the chinese server. (with an english patch)

They have a server that is free till the end of the month, after that you get 4 free hours on every new char you create.

Or you can also buy time, its like 8 dollars for 100 hours

This is the tutorial i posted on my guild forums on how to play on the chinese server with an english patch.

1. Download the game client (chinese) and the english pack

2. Create an account
http://register.sdo.com/PTNew/index.aspx?
The top 3 fields are:

account name
password
verify password

That's all you have to fill out - once that's done, click the button at the bottom to make a new account.

3. Add an adult ID:

Now, by default, when every account is made, it's a child's account, so you can't play for more than 5-6 hours at a time, or you stop gaining XP and can't pick up dropped items, so you have to add an adult ID onto your account.

To do that, go here:

If you are not logged in, log in and go to that link, then fill up the first 2 fields with the following:

4. Install the Game

5. Put the english pak file in the L10N folder.

6. Run the game with the desktop shortcut
It will ask you for a region (all in chinese), select the 9th one from top to bottom (the last one)
Click the Big button to auto-update, when its done, click it again and you are ready to go

That region is free till the end of this month.

Here in Texas, that round trip latancy will be in the upper 600ms to those servers in China.

Its playable enough to allow Lax to take a look at the Aion client if he wants..... GameGuard in the US Beta will not be the same. The US/EU release may not use GameGuard at all.

I havent tried Aion yet, but I was going to look into playing Aion and without InnerSpace it wouldnt be the same

Hey man!

Aion has a couple issues. First is GameGuard. That is easily disabled. Even though, it seems the client is packed by Themida.

It would be a real drag if one had to disable GG and uppack the client to use InnerSpace.

Well working with packed clients isn't that big of an issue, though it makes it a little harder.

GameGaurd is a different matter though, the game checks if its there and kicks you out after a few minutes (from what I've been reading thus far) if its not.

GameGuard seems to be a big pile of shit though, there's more legit people complaining about it then actual hackers xD

The chinese hackers have already figured out how to disable GG and have a functional bot, so it is doable.

That being said, its very limited and does not allow anything close to what can be done with IS and an extension, not to mention multiboxing capabilities.

I anticipate making an isxAion extension if the GG bypass that is already available continues to be supported or if Lax makes an isxGG or something to bypass it for innerspace.

My time is limited, but I hope to have something similar to isxeq2/isxvg within a few months if all goes well.
