Installation problems

Post by Skag » Fri Dec 28, 2007 9:43 pm

Hey, for some reason the lavish soft innerspace program won't install correctly on my desktop. I run the .exe and it won't unpack everything. I am using windows vista, but i got the program to unpack everything on my laptop which is also using vista. So, i'm not sure what else to do, any suggestions?

The install needs to have administrator privileges, right click on the executable and select "Run as Administrator". Do the same for the resulting shortcut on the desktop to have Inner Space run correctly.

that's not the problem, the problem is when you click on the innerspace desktop icon, it is suppose to patch innerspace. Which unloads several folders and files into the innerspace folder on your computer, but it won't unload the files on my computer. It will ask for my name and password and that's it, it won't unpack the stuff afterwards.

... and does it give a reason for not unpacking the stuff afterwards? If so, please provide details. If there's an error number, that would be perfect. If there's a detailed explanation and you need help with it, please describe what the message is.

Windows Vista security settings prevent programs installed to the Program Files directory from patching executables without administrator privileges enabled. If you did not try using Run as Administrator, I would suggest doing so.
