When WinEQ goes to run, it comes up and says it needs the APril update to DX9. However, Vista is running DX10.
Any way to get around it?

Yes, follow the instructions, which say you need the latest DX9 update. Having DX10 installed does not exempt Vista from requiring DX9 updates -- DX9 and DX10 are basically different programs.

DX9 is already present, as is DX8 and likely DX7. If DX9 was not installed, no current games would work. The problem is simply that the latest updates to DX9 are not installed in Vista RC1, but are required by our software. Just run the setup and it will work just fine.
