Relay and console

Post by eolewis » Sun Jun 04, 2006 11:59 pm

relay <name|all|all local> <command>

Examples

* Relay is1 "Press 1"

From the uplink

* Uplink Relay is1 "Press Alt+F1"

From a session

* Relay all "echo Hi"
* Relay "all local" "echo Hi"

Using this as a basis, I tried, in the console for IS1...

relay is2 "press 2" and also uplink relay is2 "press 2" with nothing happening for 5 min each. I gather from the examples and stuff that it should then have is2 "press" the 2 key, but nothing happened at all. Am I missing something there?

Also, if I switch between is1 and is2 (or even my web browser), I lose the ability to bring the console up and down in all sessions. No idea if any of this might be part of why, in some cosmically impossible way, I have the problems with losing FPS in the background session when its turned off and EQPlaynice ans WinEQ2 are both not running.

Do you have Virtual Input enabled for EQ1 (in the IS configuration window, Game Configuration tab, under EverQuest)? If not, enable it. EQ1 may be blocking the keystrokes if the window is a background window, so you may need to enable "Lock Foreground" as well (I believe it's on by default for EQ1 in new installs)
