EQ1 keyboard and mouse input problems

After starting one EQ session and alt-tabing before I even click accept the window will minimize and not allow me to shift+alt+f back to full, cant shift+alt+n or t either. If I start one up, I can always use cntl+alt etc to get rid of fps or memory indicator. Shift+alt only works rarely and often have to alt tab mutlitple times until it works and it may never. All input options are enabled with the exception of lock foreground from start I didn't have to manually enable them.

If I load to character select before trying any of the shift+alt keys or alt-tab'ing I can then use alt-tab once I get to character select and it will allow me to get back to window without auto-minimizing it.

Hmm can't edit so forgot to mention that often after alt-tabing mouse is invisible sometimes i can manage to figure out where it should be by looking for mouseover, but it often won't respond to clicks anymore by that point.

Ok, if I load eqsession and hit shift+alt+r it does something as if it is releasing the mouse or something as screen flickers slightly then I get the "I" type mouse cursor (mouse worked normally pre shift+alr+r). I then click on screen to try and hit accept and the screen minimizes to taskbar. I can then alt-tab or use global key to get focus and the shift+alt+f etc works fine. However the mouse is then no longer usable. I can move it around but it will not click anything. Keyboard can use tab and enter to select options, but if I hadn't selected server previously cant scroll to select it.

It may only be a problem if I try and do this pre-entering game. I didn't mess with anything till character loaded and had no problem with minimizing full screen or normal. However has same issues with home pc and work pc if attempting to use shift+alt commands before then.

try minimizing the window in taskbar.... sounds like the exact problem Im having and that is what worked for me this time...

Bet it happens on any screen before character select, huh?.....

Didn't notice any problems if I was careful and did no commands until I entered world itself. Only tested for few minutes though before had to run.

Will try the minimizing thing though thanks.

Noticed no difference on minimizing. Work PC is worse than the home PC. At home as long as I wait till in game it's ok. At work even if I am patient till then no mouse is visible, although I can see it mouseover things sometimes, and sift+alt commands still not working.
