WoW walkthrough?
Hello;
I tried this software with EQ1 and was relatively successful with it. I have recently attempted it with Wow and am having some trouble getting it to work properly.
Im currently running an AMD 64 4000, with 2 gig ram and a Geforce 7800 GT with 256 ram. My monitor is an LCD that best supports 1280 x1024.
I'm attempting to run 2 sessions of Wow. I'm able to get a PIP up, but I cannot seem to switch my PiP into my main view like I was able to do in my EQ1 session. If I left click in the PiP, all it does is minimize my full screen session and keeps the PiP a tiny picture. Basically, I'm not getting the hang of it.
Finally, what types of settings are other people using with Wow. Is this best viewed as a split screen or a PiP. ?
Thanks for any and all help.

Any time you click on the PIP window, it's going to become the main window and revert to its normal size. Unless, of course, you have PIP Lock enabled, which allows you to drag the PIP window to the desired location without it switching back to the full window. Check that firstHowever, soemtimes I need to get the PIP into the big screen main view Like I could in everquest..I still cant do it.

Ok, I have tried it and am still experiencing the same issues.
Just so we are clear. In EQ, I was able to click on the PiP and the PiP view would switch to the main view and the main view would switch to the PiP. This is the effect that I'm trying to achieve here.
I have resized and repositioned the PiP in Wow. When I click in the PiP view all that happens is that the PiP view now becomes the active window where I can perform functions. The characters do not change their view at all. The problem with this is that the PiP is so small it is very difficult to see what that character is doing. In other words, it si very hard to operate the character in that window.
The only settings that are on when I shift right click is PIP is on and the PiP is always on top. In the main window, the only thing enabled is PIP and it of course is in full screen emulation.
Any more help Lax

Ok, I have pretty much had my fill of this.
I don't mean to gripe here, but I have tried to get this PIP thing working for the better part of the weekend, but to no avail.
The fact is that the documentation on this software is sorely lacking. I have gone to the manual, and it just does not give a step by step instruction on how to use the PiP. That leaves guessing, and Im not too good at that.
The only thing that I have successfully done is run two tiles, which maybe good for a four boxer, but the resolution is way to small for a two boxer like myself. It detracts from the enjoyment of the game.
The only option I have left is to use the PiP, in the hope that the PiP will somehow switch to the main view. I want to be able to see what I'm doing here! Otherwise Im best to setup the old computer and go from there.
How bout a little more specific help here Lax??!!

There's really not much else to say. PIP should function exactly the same in WoW as it does when you play EQ.
I apologize for taking a little time away from work this weekend. I'm only human.
Testing it just now, I have no problems with it switching when I click the smaller window. It immediately becomes the active, full sized window. However, if I use a preset hotkey (e.g. shift+alt+f for full screen emulation), the PIP window size is no longer correct. This may be what you're having problems with, and I'll fix this as soon as I can

Lax;
Apology not necessary at all. I completely understand the need for time off. In fact, that is what I'm trying to achieve here as well! No hostility here either...simply frustration.
Having said that, I'm going to spell out what my settings have been from within WinEQ2 and perhaps you can tell me where I have gone wrong here.
From Options only PiP is enabled. Both sessions of Wow using the the WinEQ default profile. Here are the settings:
General -everything off
WinEQ default profile - full screen emulated
- preferred tile disabled
- PiP On
- PiP x pos - 20, y pos - 50
-PiP scale 0.2000
-PiP border off
This is what I have been working with. Do my sessions need to be different in any way? Is there any step by step instructions you can add?
Thanks for any and all help

Nope that's all normal and should work fine. The problem is probably that it's set to full screen emulated, and this is probably directly related to the bug with PIP window size I uncovered and mentioned in my last post.
Just to demonstrate, launch both WoW sessions in normal window mode instead of full screen emulated, and dont change the window size afterward. If it is less than the size of your desktop when it lauches, thats actually great for now (though I wouldnt ask you to play like that and I dont like it myself -- this is just for demonstrating the issue). From the login screen, PIP should work exactly like you expect it to. Switch windows a few times and it should work -- if it doesn't, right click on one of the windows' title bars, and see if PIP Lock is enabled (you can also check it in the main WinEQ 2 menu under Options, where it is called Lock Picture-in-Picture). Now on either session, hit shift+alt+f. PIP will now get confused, and not function correctly. Switch a few times and you should observe that you either do not see PIP, or the picture window is a very strange size instead of what it should be.
Anyway, this is definitely an issue that I will be fixing ASAP, probably on Monday. I'm working on some unrelated issues at the moment, but this is at the top of my list.
