2.0 Pro seems like a good program, but im lost with all the options and I AM a computer nerd..lol
CPU/FPS limit:
What exactly is the purpose of CPU limiting (real-world example please)? I understand FPS limiting as the human eye can only see 30 fps, so if i chose the CPU option at 40, does it cap the virtual machine resources at 40 percent of the processor (Docs dont state).
In the Limiter Mode and Limit, I dont understand why the 2 options. Couldn't the same FPS number be achieved either way? (just trying to understand...)
CPU limit in WinEQ2 vs in EQ natively:
I couldn't find what to set Max FPS in EQ if using WinEQ2 to limit the FPS....any ideas? Any recomendations of other native EQ settings? (Didnt see any in Docs)
Preferred Tile Setting:
What does the AUTO setting do? I created 2 profiles with this setting on Auto, and pressed CTRL+\ thinking it would automatically tile the 2 active profiles on the given screen resolution. It appears that it places both of them in upper left corner? If Borders were on could i drag one window to a different location and have wineq2 remember it for next time?
Thanks in advance for your help

The docs DO state, but maybe not the WinEQ 2 docs in the EQ section, because this is an EQPlayNice feature (EQPlayNice is included with WinEQ 2). http://www.lavishsoft.com/eqplaynice/Bubba wrote:CPU/FPS limit:

The difference, essentially, is that CPU limiting results in lower CPU usage at the cost of dropping your framerate by a constant number, regardless of the framerate. FPS limiting results in lower CPU usage by calculating the actual amount of FPS to drop to hit your "limit". This may be none, or it may be a lot, depending on your actual framerate.CPU and Framerate Limiting
EQPlayNice allows two different methods of basic limiting -- CPU and Framerate. CPU limiting aims to keep CPU usage at a constant rate by giving up the same amount of CPU time per frame. Framerate limiting aims to give up the minimum amount of CPU time per frame to meet a framerate goal. EQPlayNice allows selection between the two methods for foreground as well as background, and also allows a goal setting for each.
If you're using WinEQ 2, you want to effectively disable EQ's limiter. Set it to 100 (highest)CPU limit in WinEQ2 vs in EQ natively:

Actually, AUTO is supposed to automatically place them in an empty spot. If theyre both in the upper left corner, then it failed to do its job and that would be a bug. Borders cannot be used in Tiled mode as this would defeat the purpose and usefulnessPreferred Tile Setting:
