Start bar at startup - WoW
Well we had 2.06 for a bit that seemd "perfect" then updated to 2.07 and now when I start WoW the start bar is visible. I cant figure out how to get rid of it unless i do the old SHIFT-ALT-T and SHIFT-ALT-F ...
Bob
P.S . Is there a way I can NOT get updates once I get a build that resolves my issues and only update when there are fixes?

Not sure what to tell you about the taskbar. 2.06 made no changes to the full screen issue, so I'm not sure why you would feel it was perfect.
Finally, I'm absolutely against patching only when desired, because issues never get reported or solved that way. I didn't want to update WinEQ 2.0 last week in the first place to tell you the truth
The full screen issue was actually solved in 2.07.2.06
- All:
* Fixed print screen button handling. Screenshots work fine in WoW and EQ2 now.
- Dark Age of Camelot (1.03)
- EverQuest (2.06):
* Changed mouse handling when releasing/recapturing to be a bit more friendly as far as cursor
positioning
- EverQuest II (1.03)
- Warcraft III (1.03)
- World of Warcraft (1.03)
Is the WoW window flashing in the taskbar or anything? All of my topmost windows including the taskbar and winamp disappear after about half a second with 2.07 in full screen mode with the taskbar set to auto-hide off and on top of all other windows.* Fixed problem with using non-"Normal" default preset

I tried a new profile, same thing. I swear "nothin changed" on my side
Well let me know if I can post anything that might resolve this.
I dont actually have to press SHIFT-ALT-T / SHIFT-ALT-F for the fix for the start bar. If I click the wineq icon near the clock and then click the WoW screen the start bar goes away.

I set it to "always on top" as toptek suggested, works, thanks.
The "problem" I have is that I seem to get a working copy them blam something else gets fixed and something else gets broken. This start-bar issue was never a problem, and though it seems so "minor" its the entire system that seems flawed, no matter how small or minor an issue.
Anyways, its not my software and though I do pay for it I guess I feel as though I should have atleast a "voice" .. heard or not.
I give a hand-up for downloadable versions. If I find that version 2.06b rev 32 (an example) works just perfect for my needs then I shouldn't be forced to download and install a new version that fixes something and breaks something else.
I really hope Innerspace doesn't use this system.

All I can tell you is there was only 1 version of 2.06 and if the problem didnt exist for you for a short time during 2.06, it was a fluke.
All of our software uses this system and probably always will. I have done software both ways (downloadable updates vs auto updates) as you probably realize.. and I much prefer this system. Without it, I have no guarantee that anyone posting problems is even using the latest version.

This post said there was another release of 2.06 ?there was only 1 version of 2.06

I am all of a sudden feeling confrontational. I'm sorry and will drop the "patch vs dont patch" discussion. I understand the concerns you must fear if people arent patching yet posting "problems". I've dropped it, serioulsy.Done. Restart WinEQ and it'll patch itself. The version number will still be 2.06. Let me know if the problem continues after patching
Now, back to the start bar and "always on top". There were possibly two versions of 2.06 as I posted. And it wasn't until 2.07 that the start bar focus issue immerged. *shrug* There is a work around, it does work, though I must admit that the problem is not fixed, on new installs and new profiles the "always on top" is off and the start bar problem emerges again.

My bad on the one version thing.
I've patched the WoW handling for 2.07 just now with an attempt to fix the full screen issue, so if you want to let it patch and give it a shot, let me know. As I said, it works on this computer but I saw the issue on my laptop. It's really a function of Windows to hide the taskbar when the foreground window is the size of the full screen, and it's not always easy to figure out why it doesn't.
What I much prefer about IS (relating to this thread, anyway. I could go on all night about how it is faster, doesn't need to wait for every game plugin on startup, requires less files when updating, communicates less with our server on startup, and so on) is that any minor issue like this can be solved by users if necessary, since every separate action WinEQ performs is a command that can be done automatically on startup. Thus, instead of having the workaround be "I use these hotkeys each startup", it can be "I told Inner Space to automatically do this for me each startup".

Iam taking my time and reading the IS manual now.
I do understand of it and will be writing a few things soon i was just wiating mostly for IS to go live , so i could see how user firendly it will be and how much i'll have to learn to use it .
