Mouse Lag

Post by Speedsloth » Sun Sep 20, 2009 8:04 am

I am getting very excessive mouse lag whenever I have the windows open. I can run 3 or more wows fine when playing normaly but as soon as I use this program whenever I move my mouse the screen freezes up and the fps gets down to about 1. It is very annoying, I am new to this and also am wondering what I should set my interface setup to to make it run well. I have a Nvidia gefore 9500GT, Intel core 2 quad, windows Vista and 4gb of ram. Can some1 please help me??? I can get it up and running perfectly but once the screens are up I can't do a think because of the lag I get when moving my mouse???

I'm afraid I don't really know what you mean by lag when moving your mouse. You're just pointing the cursor, like to click on something? Or are you using mouselook and getting lag when turning? If you're getting lag when you are pointing the cursor, that's pretty interesting and I would probably start by updating video drivers.

Your interface setup?

All you really need to do is set your video settings in WoW to performance settings instead of having all of the shinies on, and make sure Vertical Sync is off. Beyond that, there's no reason why you should get lag when playing. You should really make sure you have the latest video drivers from nvidia.com though

Here is what is happening:

Normal WOW: I can move curser (just moving it) with no lag whatsoever. I can do everything normaly.

Using Program: It still isn't very good when I am moving around etc eventhough I have everything as low as possible. But what is most annoying is the fact that even if I don't click anything at all, if i just touched my mouse and it moved the FPS would decrease. Im not clicking to do anything, just moving the mouse. (Should I be in the same place with both characters)? And I will update my drivers asap. haven't done so in a long time.

Whether you're in the same place with both characters or not is irrelevant. Moving the cursor should not cause any problems, it should perform at least as well as it does when you launch multiple WoWs normally and have the windows all the same large size.

If u want a video to identify the problem go ahead. It has not changed after the new driver updates and I don't have a custom mouse.

Okay you just identified the problem for me. There are known issues using X-Fire with Inner Space, if you turn off X-Fire while multiboxing you should no longer have this performance issue

Thanks for that, its working properly now! But how do I do what the quick setup guide was about. I can create the characters and stuff then I log in but they wont follow me even when I toggle the follow key and they dont target what i target. (I dont want it to repeat keystroke I want it to be like the video :S)

Do any of the other mapped keys work? If you hit Ctrl+Space for example, the other characters should jump.

If yes, then make sure the ISBoxer Addon is enabled in WoW

Thanks for all the support, 1 last question. Is there a way to get emuhacker working on both wows (for private servers). I can get it working on 1.

Maybe, maybe not, but I wouldn't help you with that because using hacks in games is just lame. Botting I can understand, and deal with, as with multiboxing, but not pure hacks that intend to give you an unfair advantage.

I don't know what it is either way, so I can't possibly help you get it working. You're on your own with that

The Reason I want to use emuhacker with 4 accounts or so is to be able to kite bosses around using speedhack, I never use it on other players. Seing as im Australian I can't raid on the private servers because the population is too low and the only way I can really get gear is lame pugs. Using emuhacker is a great way to help you gear up, although it will take centurys to get the gear raather than just raiding for it I believe it is well worth it but I would NEVER use this on real wow or on any players.

Here in the US, "private servers" are prohibited by the DMCA, and whether we agree with the DMCA or not, I do not want this site to be associated with such activity. Let's not have this discussion here, sorry.
