IS and Ubuntu 8.04

Post by Wajje » Thu Jul 10, 2008 6:14 pm

Hello! :)
I've managed to setup WoW on my Ubuntu computer. it works perfectly fine to run, etc.
However, when i try to launch WoW through Inner space, it doesn't work...

When i click "World of warcraft default profile" in Wine, the furthest i've gotten is wow started, with a black screen all over it..
But most of the time it doesn't even start at all.

Is there any guide, or tips/trix for this issue? Have anyone else succesfully ran wow through IS?

Regards

Make sure you're in Direct3D mode first of all

aha... That fixed it :) It worked and i quit wow.
Thank you very much, but now i get another issue...
Now it won't start again, i load up inner space, and when i try rightclicking the icon, and select World of warcraft default profile, nothing happens.
None of the buttons in the tray works. tried clicking on all of them "Add game; console; Configuration; Exit; Lavish Login; " etc..

What could this be caused by?

Also, when i'm able to start it, there's no console (tried rebinding it) and the info in top left corner is not there eighter (The FPS, the memory usage, etc )

it just seems as there's not ISX at all :S

Well unfortunately since it's in linux and in a Windows "not an emulator", I couldn't possibly guess why you're seeing this behavior. You may wish to speak to other community members who use Inner Space in wine for more help.

You can find some of them in IRC (Internet Relay Chat) in channel #isxwow on irc.lavishsoft.com. If you do not have an IRC client or even if you don't know what it is or how it works, here is a browser-based client that will get you there:

They're not always there, so you may have to wait for an answer
