EQ2 Custom UI File not displaying when IS is loaded

Post by Algamer » Fri Jan 04, 2008 7:10 pm

I have been trying to install a custom target ring UI mod for a few days, and it just doesnt work when Innerspace is loaded. This isnt a complicated mod, you just put the two image files in a folder and it will work. The mod works when I load Everquest2.exe without Innerspace, but not with Innerspace. The problem also isnt with ISXEQ2, as I have tried loading it without ISXEQ2.

I realize this isnt a significant issue, but it has been bugging me. Simply put, is there an easy fix for this?

Thanks

I'm afraid I have no idea how custom UI mods work for EQ2, and thusly I have no idea why it wouldn't work with Inner Space. You don't have 2 EQ2 installations do you? ;) Amadeus is in a better position to answer why it wouldn't work; but he might not want to answer it for whatever reason (for example, he might actually have to spend some time looking at EQ2 to find the answer).

If you want my help on this you'll have to provide more specific information, because IS by design is not interfering with the normal operation of EQ2, so any game behavior with or without IS should be identical (except for obvious differences, like input being routed through IS, etc), and I haven't played EQ2 for more than an hour or two so I'm not exactly an expert on the game.

God I feel like such an idiot, but I got the problem fixed. Turns out the EQ2 installation I was putting the custom files into was not the one that IS was loading. Anyways, thanks for the help and sorry to waste your time.
