ISXWoW not completely initializing...

Post by jojotheslug » Thu May 03, 2007 2:26 pm

Hey Everyone...

Before everybody starts replying that this is an ISXWoW issue and I should post over there, I already have. But the more I think about it, this seems like it might be more of an InnerSpace issue.

I just wanted to see if anyone else is having this problem. Since the servers came back online Tuesday, it appears like ISXWoW is not initializing completely until I either purchase an item from a vendor or accept a quest. I do an ext -list and it shows ISXWarden and ISXWoW as having loaded. But, in the session console it will get to "Injecting Lua functions". Then it will throw up some "[WoW Console]" lines until it gets to "[WoW Console] Game speed set from 0.017 to 0.017". Then it just sits there. It never gets to "Script file 'ISXWoW-ingame' not found" unless I interact with an NPC. Until I interact with an NPC, none of the functions, methods, or members which need ISXWoW (for example, anything using the activeplayer) are unavailable.

I've tried loading ISXWarden as part of a game configuration and as part of a session configuration, but it doesn't seem to make any difference. Also, my set up/configuration hasn't changed at all since prior to Tuesday's maintenance. The only thing that "seems" to have possibly changed is something on Blizzard's end. As it stands right now, this isn't really that big a problem. But, I could see this becoming a big problem for people who are working toward 100% automation.

Can you successfully load WoW in IS without ISXWoW or ISXWarden?

If you can, what happens if you load ISXWarden from console? What happens if you load ISXWarden from console if ISXWoW is in the extensions directory?

You are not trying to load ISXWoW in one of your startup scripts are you? ISXWarden autoloads ISXWoW. You should not be doing that.

You should be loading ISXWarden from a startup script. Not a pre-startup script.

To troubleshoot this, start by starting WoW in IS with no startup scripts period. If it where me, I would rename my InnerSpace.xml to something else which would cause InnerSpace to create a new InnerSpace.xml with all defaults.
