Crashing at startup

Post by airent » Fri Sep 17, 2004 2:02 pm

When I try to load my standard EQ profile, almost immediately I get a message that eq has crashed. I can continue to login but the quit box is covering the window. This began with version 1.37.

Here is my WinEQ log:

Log actually looks perfectly normal and has no indication that it would cause a crash.

EverQuest keeps debug logs in the "logs" folder -- dbg.txt and now dbg_login.txt as well. Open the file dbg.txt which is now found in EverQuest\Logs\dbg.txt (not in the main EQ directory) and grab the last 10 lines or so for me

I did some further testing of this and noticed that if Macroquest was not running, then the problem would not show up. Interestingly if I launched via the normal icon and not WinEQ, it would also work fine. I recompiled the latest Macroquest and it is working fine now.

Sorry for the misdirection and thanks for the support. It gets pretty hairy when so much changes at once. Fantastic job keeping up with it all.
