Connection to Lavish Software License failed

I get this error every time I try to run WinEQ or EQPlayNice. Just started to try to use these apps. Any ideas why I'd be getting the following message every time I try?

Connection to Lavish Software License server failed. The server may be inaccessible to you at this time, or the amount of network lag between you and the server is extraordinarily high.

Try again, there may have been a glitch in the system while I was importing a fairly large database for another site on the server. Let me know if it continues.

What kind of connection are you on?

Been happening for the last 3 days. On cable modem 512k
