Post by redwater » Wed Sep 01, 2004 12:16 am

Greetings.

I keep geting following two problems with wineq i just installed on my sytem.

1) I will try to load defualt eq profile and i get error message to try again later i have seen in other message that it was supposdly corrected but it is happening to me.

2) I will occasionaly be able to load everquest but when i get to the server select screen and i try to log on to my sever i get This program cause and illegal error and eq closes down.

I have no clue how to open the wineq log as it will not open for me.

I will check the boards again after work tommorow.

1) Very specifically, what error message and number do you get?

2) WinEQ.log is found in the WinEQ folder. If you do not see the .log extension, then it is the top one called "WinEQ" of type "Text Document".

For crashes, it also helps to check EQ's "dbg.txt" (NOT debug.txt). Find the last instance of "Fatal error in main thread". If you find that line, paste me that line and the next 20 lines or so. If you do NOT find that line, paste me the final 20 lines or so of dbg.txt.

Any chance of WinEQ.log? :)

This is looking like a potential memory issue so far...

I've attempted to fix this issue. Your WinEQ will be patched, without a version number change, when you start the program next. If you're not running version 1.31, download it. If it continues, do the same thing you did here but also post WinEQ.log for me
